Selection Process Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) 2023
Written tests and a skill/proficiency/physical test (SPPT) are also part of the selection process. There will be a qualifying requirement for the SPPT.
Question Paper in any discipline to have the following three sections: a) Subject Knowledge – 75 marks b) Numerical Ability – 15 marks c) General Awareness – 10 marks
For each candidate to be selected and qualify for SPPT, they must receive at least 40% on the written test. SC/STs will be included in the relaxation.
At the Gujarat Refinery, a written test will be given to applicants for positions that have been made known. The written test for applicants to the Haldia Refinery’s advertised positions will take place in Kolkata. The admit card will be used to provide specific venue information.
According to the information provided in the online application form and the payment of the application fee (applicable for applicants in the General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) Category), admit cards for the written test will be given to all students who are prima facie eligible. Examination of the candidates’ provided documents will take place after the written test. Only those candidates who are (a) shortlisted based on the written test (refer to Clause No. J(6)) and (b) meet the notified eligibility requirements upon verification of the documents sent by the candidates and other parameters will be considered/called for the next stage, i.e. the Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT).
Following document verification, short-listed candidates will be required to take a skill, proficiency, and physical test (SPPT), in a ratio of 1:2 (taking into account the number of reserved posts) and subject to achieving the minimum qualifying marks in the written test.
In order to be considered for shortlisting for the SPPT or final selection, a candidate must meet the eligibility requirements as well as other requirements, which are related to the number of positions available, the percentage of reservations, the ratio used, and the relative performance in the various categories. A candidate who receives the minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test has no such claim.
Even if the total number of applicants exceeds the required ratio, all such candidates will be summoned for the SPPT in the event of a tie-in mark for the last spot on the Shortlist for SPPT.
Candidates from reserved categories who have taken advantage of any age, eligibility, or written test qualifying score reductions that are available to their category will be given consideration for reserved positions regardless of where they rank on the select list (in terms of merit within the category). In accordance with the horizontal reservation policy, ex-servicemen candidates will be given consideration for reserved positions regardless of where they rank on the merit list (in order of merit within the category).
