(a) To improve urban households’ livelihood security by providing Employment will be guaranteed for 120 days.
(b) To support the skill upgrading of people working in waged labor positions in order to offer them improved livelihood prospects and to help them start their own businesses by providing entrepreneurship training and subsidy-linked loan links.
(c) Improving urban infrastructure and providing high-quality municipal services Urban Local Bodies (ULBS) provide facilities.
Benefits and Features of Himachal Pradesh Shahri Ajeevika Guarantee Yojana 2023
Employment Opportunities:
a) Guaranteed Employment: It was going to give those who qualify guaranteed 120-day employment in urban local governments to provide livelihood support. In any financial year, the ULBS shall not employ an eligible beneficiary for more than 120 days. a) Maximum Employment term:- The maximum term for which employment will be provided to a household shall be 120 days.
The scheme provides employment for 120 days, ensuring a stable source of income.
Skill Development:
Eligible members of this plan will also get skill training under the Deen Dyal Antodaya -National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM), which would give additional chances for better livelihood.
Daily Wage:
Under the scheme, beneficiaries are entitled to a daily wage of Rs. 275.
Inclusion of Urban Poor:
Unemployed individuals in urban areas can benefit from this scheme.
Direct Wage Transfer:
The wage amount is directly transferred to the beneficiaries accounts.
Salary Payments Shahri Ajeevika Guarantee Yojana 2023
Himachal Pradesh Shahri Ajeevika Guarantee Yojana 2023 Under the scheme, beneficiaries are entitled to a daily wage of Rs. 275.
Eligible beneficiaries under the scheme will be entitled to minimum wage notified by the State Government. Equal wages are to be paid to both male and female workers
Salary will be immediately transferred into eligible recipients’ bank accounts by the ULBS on a weekly basis, no later than 7 days following the completion of 15 days of employment.
Salary payments shall be provided upon verification of attendance by the Junior Engineer or any other officer/official authorized by the ULB.
The payment made above will be adjusted/deducted from the bills of the implementing agency before making its payment.

Age: The applicant should be 65 years or younger.
Household Member: Only adult members of the household are eligible for employment.
Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh.
